AI is Revolutionising the Public Sector
AI already delivers significant time saving in the UK public service sector.
In late 2024, 20,000 civil servants across more than a dozen departments in the UK Government Digital Service trialled Microsoft 365 Copilot. The results of the trial revealed a remarkable benefit – providing a time savings of nearly two weeks per person per year.
Of the trial’s users, 85% agreed that M365 Copilot provides strong value to the organisation. And 82% said they would not want to go back to a world without it.
Similar results have already been achieved at NHS England. By delivering valuable time savings to clinicians and administrators, AI allows more time to be focused on improving quality of care, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
